The Oasis Playa is an all-inclusive resort set on 150 yards of white sand beach. Styled after the ancient Mayan pyramid, this beachfront resort with magnificent architecture sits on Cancun Island's eastern shore, near golf, shopping and water entertainment areas. Oasis Playa includes two tennis courts, two pools, swim-up bar, over 150 yards of sandy, white beach, four restaurants and four bars. A huge activity pool includes a raised section containing a shaded swim-up bar. Above this pool and connected by a waterfall is a "quiet" pool surrounded by padded teak lounge chairs, a large children's pool and palm trees shading more lounge chairs. Daily activities include competitions such as beach and pool volleyball, pool aerobics, and dance lessons. Nightly activities include two shows weekly (Mexican and Caribbean) on the beach, around the pool or in the lobby depending on the weather. Guests receive a discount on the cover charge at Club Up & Down, which is open nightly and located on the Grand Oasis property. Use of two tennis courts and a basketball court is part of the all-inclusive Plan, with a surcharge for tennis night play under lights. A water sports desk rents out boogie boards and arranges jet skiing, parasailing, fishing, snorkeling, and scuba diving - all for extra charges. The all-inclusive plan includes access to a marina located on the Nichupté Lagoon, the large, placid body of water lying between Cancún and the mainland. The marina provides complimentary use of kayaks, sailboats, and windsurfers. Oasis Playa guests also have complimentary access to a 9-hole executive golf course with equipment available for rent.
Oasis Playa offers 388 air-conditioned guestrooms in two eight-story towers shaped like Mayan pyramids. Room decor features textured terracotta walls, white ceilings, Mexican-style furniture of dark wood and wrought iron, gray-marble floors, and wood ceilings in dressing/vanity areas. In-rooms safes are available for a daily surcharge.
